S P Jain Center of Management (S P Jain) is a private business school offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It has campuses in Dubai (established in 2004), Singapore (2006) and Sydney (to become operational in 2012).  It is the international arm of the S P Jain Institute of Management & Research, which is consistently ranked among the top 10 private business schools in Asia.

S P Jain offers three programs:  a) Global Master  of Business Administration (GBMA, full-time, for graduates with minimum two years work experience), Executive Master  of Business Administration (EMBA, part-time, for graduates with a minimum of three years work experience), and Global Bachelor of Business Administration (GBBA, full-time, for undergraduates).

The GMBA program started in Dubai in 2004 as an answer to the growing need for business leaders with international experience.  It expanded to Singapore in 2006 at the invitation of the Singapore government.  Today the GMBA program uses a fast-track, two-campus model, with students completing six months of study in either Dubai or Singapore, then switching to the other campus for their final six months.  In addition, students may opt to spend a term at partner schools in Sydney or Toronto.  The program is intensive and focussed on differentiating S P Jain students, as the ones with a global mindset.

The GMBA program was ranked number one in the UAE in a brand perception audit conducted by A C Nielsen in 2008.  New students are admitted in November and April.  All students are successfully placed in professional positions upon graduation, contributing to the school’s prestige.  The GMBA is headed by John Davis, Dean, from Columbia University in the US.

The EMBA is a two-year part-time program located on both the Dubai and Singapore campuses that trains working adults for leadership roles in business.  Students must have a bachelor’s degree and three to five years experience in the business world before entering.  S P Jain’s EMBA program is led by Dr. Balakrishna Grandhi, Dean, from the Carlson School of Management in the US and the University of Ottawa in Canada.

S P Jain’s GBBA program, launched in 2010, incorporates a novel twin-city approach to undergraduate education.  Students spend their first two years in Singapore learning the basics of business administration.  Then they shift to a brand-new campus in Sydney, Australia, for their final two years, specializing in either finance and marketing.  The GBBA program is led by Dr. Dawn Dekle, Dean, from Dartmouth College and Stanford University.

A cornerstone of the S P Jain philosophy is “complete education”.  In addition to rigorous academics, students are trained in problem solving, decision making, managing cross-cultural diversity, interpersonal psychology, presentation skills and more.  These “soft skill” courses help ensure that graduates develop a positive, winning attitude, and a character marked by strong professionalism – so that they stand out as truly global leaders in the future.

S P Jain’s MBA programs are fully accredited by the Association of MBA (AMBA) in the UK, widely considered the gold-standard in graduate business-school endorsement. S P Jain is accredited by the Department of Education and Training, New South Wales, Australia, and students graduate with an Australian bachelor’s degree.  S P Jain is the first organization of Indian origin to earn this distinction.

S P Jain was named the “Best B-School in Asia” by CMO Asia in 2010.  Partner schools include Schulich School of Business at York University in Canada; and the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales in Australia.
